As promised, I am back with another great contest. But hey, this is no other RSS contest. There are enough of them already. My RSS contest back in September was very successful, but now I want to move to another level and make you guys make money while competing in this contest.
Indeed, this contest is unique because technically everyone can make money while at it. The winner though will just get an extra of $50.
With no more delay, let me introduce this new contest. Basically, this contest consists in who makes the most of money selling products on his/her Zlio Shops. For those of you who don’t know Zlio, it is an affiliate program that lets you create stores, add products to them (from Zlio Partner Merchants) , promote your stores and earn commissions (sent via PayPal) on sales made out of your shops. Zlio has been very successful and 303,726 stores have been created so far (as I write these lines).
So why did I choose Zlio for this contest? Several reasons :
1. Signing up to Zlio and having a store created takes no more than 5 minutes. (easy process)
2. Earning money with Zlio can be achieved in different manners : selling products, Integrating your Adense Code on your stores, referring friends and earning commissions on their commissions. (more earning opportunities)
3. You can create more than one store (more niches can be explored)
4. Zlio targets 3 markets : US (pays in $US), UK (pays in GBP), France (pays in Euro)
To enter the contest, you must first make sure you have a PayPal account since it’s the way you get your commissions paid and how I will send money to the winner.
The winner will be determined based on this system :
- 1 point for each dollar made (earnings in Euro and GBP will be converted to USD using the rate of the date I will announce the winner)
- 0.25 points for each referral. I wanted to reward any effort put into having referrals since it’s essential for sustaining a long term profit from Zlio.
- At the end of the contest, points will be summed using this formula :
score = (Dollars earned + (0.25 x number of referrals)) x (1+Bonus) — Bonus is explained later in the post
The winner is whoever gets the highest score.
How to enter :
Required steps :
- Sign Up to ZLIO, using this link. Using a different link will make it impossible for me to track your commissions, and so I won’t be able to calculate your score. Plus, it makes you my referral. How cool is that?
- Create at least ONE Zlio store
Bonus (Optional) steps :
- Subscribe to my RSS by email : + 0.1 in bonus
- Subscribe to my newsletter (box in the sidebar) : + 0.1 in bonus
- Blog about the contest : +0.1 in bonus
If you are already subscribed to any or both, you are already counted in the bonus.
Now let me just give an example of score calculation :
If John earns $100 in commissions, gets 60 referrals and subscribes to my RSS and newsletter, his score will be :
score = ( 100 + (0.25 x 60) ) x (1 + 0.1 + 0.1)
= 115 x 1.2
= 138 pts
If he also blogs about the contest :
score = 115 x 1.3
= 149.5 pts
That shows how important the optional bonus is in determining the final winner.
The contest ends December 15th, 2008. I am giving a month for I think it’s the minimum duration to allow in order to be able to make a decent amount of commissions. The winner will be announced December 17th, 2008 after processing of all data.
